The new Form I-9 is available on the USCIS website: <a href=\"https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/i-9-central\">https:\/\/www.uscis.gov\/i-9-central<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Employers will be able to use this revised version immediately. Employers can continue using the Form I-9 with a revision date of 11\/14\/16 up to 9\/17\/17. Starting September 18, all employers must use the revised form with a revision date of\u00a07\/17\/17\u00a0for all\u00a0<em>new employees<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>The revisions are minor; employers will not need to change their processes.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Revisions related to the List of Acceptable Documents on Form I-9:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Consular Report of Birth Abroad (Form FS-240) has been added to List C.<\/li>\n<li>All the certifications of report of birth issued by the Department of State (Form FS-545, Form DS-1350, and Form FS-240) have been combined into selection C#2 in List C.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>All List C documents except the Social Security card have been renumbered.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update: New I-9 Form Released On July 17, the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) released a new Form I-9, Employment Eligibility Verification.
