{"id":931,"date":"2021-07-09T18:29:26","date_gmt":"2021-07-09T18:29:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/dunncorp.com\/blog\/?p=931"},"modified":"2025-02-20T15:02:55","modified_gmt":"2025-02-20T15:02:55","slug":"pennsylvania-unemployment-fraud","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/dunncorp.com\/blog\/pennsylvania-unemployment-fraud\/","title":{"rendered":"Pennsylvania Unemployment Fraud"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Over the past month we have seen an extraordinary increase in fraudulent unemployment claims in the state of Pennsylvania.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If a fraudulent claim is filed on behalf of you or one of your employees, the following steps are recommended: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>File<br>a form online:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/benefits.uc.pa.gov\/vosnet\/ReportFraud.aspx\">Unemployment compensation<br>fraud<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dlisecureweb.pa.gov\/FRTS\/IdentityTheft.aspx\">Federal Pandemic Unemployment<br>Assistance (PUA) fraud<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>File<br>via phone:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Call the PA Fraud Hotline at<br>800-692-7469<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>File<br>a report with police:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contact police in the<br>municipality you resided in at the time the unemployment fraud<br>occurred\/benefits in question were paid. A copy of the filed policy report must<br>also be provided to the Office of Unemployment Compensation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Start<br>a recovery plan with the Federal Trade Commission by visiting <a href=\"http:\/\/www.identitytheft.gov\">www.identitytheft.gov<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Over the past month we have seen an extraordinary increase in fraudulent unemployment claims in the state of Pennsylvania.
